ISO 7010 Graphical symbols — Safety colours and safety signs — Registered safety signs

For well over 25 years the professionals of safety signs have worked to achieve an International consensus on the design principles and process to achieve the highest "good practice" in the field of safety signs to ensure effective communication of safety messages.

ISO 7010  Graphical symbols — Safety colours and safety signs — Registered safety signs is now being revised to include the 4th ammendment and the number of new graphical symbols in the process of standardisation is well over 50 in number. It is sincerely hoped that very soon the very poor political instrument that was used  quite thoughtlessly for the last 15 years in an attempt to improve workplace and public place safety in Europe (EEC Directive 92/58/EEC) will be finally supported with this true technical Standard and not some Brussels bureaucrat's drawings of signs.

This in the interest of truly International safety communications system based on the highest level of understanding and comprehension.
